What comes next is vitally important. The committee is preparing to take this study out to the public in a series of public meetings. We want to get the public’s input and ideas as this issue moves forward.
Before these recommendations can be finally adopted, a County Charter must be placed onto the general election ballot. To be on the ballot in 2012, we will need to circulate petitions beginning early next year.
To make this happen, we need people who support a more effective and more prosperous Lucas County to step forward and volunteer their time or financial support. Only by involving our entire community can we hope to reform our County government.
